Our Philosophy

I believe that a child benefits from the discipline of dance, whether or not they decide to pursue it as a career. Dance is an art form that takes perseverance and practice. All dancers must master the basics before moving on to advanced levels. Dance brings enjoyment and builds self-confidence in all children and adults no matter when they begin their dance training.  All children can open up and make friends, while also developing leadership qualities.  A child with a foundation in dance can go on to tackle many other art forms or sports with the knowledge that they have accomplished something tangible.  All students at the Silver City Dance Center will learn the correct technique for their dance discipline while still having fun in a nurturing and non-competitive environment. I hope that you will share my enjoyment in the art of dance.                 

We opened in 2001 and are now celebrating our 11th year.  We offer classes for boys and girls for all levels of dance from Recreational to Competitive. All dancers are given the opportunity to perform at such local events as the Taunton Riverfront Festival, Taunton Lights On Ceremony, the Berkley Senior Citizens Christmas Dinner, special Holiday and summer performances and, of course, our Annual Recital  All levels of dancers are also invited to take classes with Guest Artists from around the country.  Our Competitive Dancers are also given the opportunity to compete at the Regional and National Level.
